What we learn about Jesus 1. He is the fulfillment of the law and the prophets 2. When the Psalm calls him “king,” this fulfills the triplet: priest, prophet and king. 3. He is the Son of Man receiving “dominion, glory and kingship” from the Ancient One, the Father, in Daniel 7. 4. He is the Son of God B. What we learn about the eternal truths 1. Jesus is the Son of God, and God is our Creator, “Most High above all the earth. a) We are his creatures, and have no rights before him. We depend on his mercy and love, which we do not deserve. b) Indeed, by every mortal sin we have deserved hell, so let us praise the Creator for this undeserved mercy. c) This should help us understand more his love. 2. This amazing vision was bestowed on them just after his prophecy of the passion. They discussed “what he was going to achieve in Jerusalem. Paradox of cross and glory. Develop. C. What we learn for our moral lives 1. Prayer of contemplation: what could be more joyful, higher, more satisfying, than “to be with God, to be conformed to Jesus, to be found in his light”[1]? 2.
