Vice President Frattini Goes Pro-Gay, as Militantly as Hysterically: Really "Homophobia" or Actually "Catholicphobia"?
Recently, Vice President Frattini, the justice minister of the European Union, got completely out of line threatening to punish those who do not show perverted privileges to those suffering from homosexual inclinations. Read the article here.
I attempted to send him this response by e-mail, who knows if he or anyone in his cabinet will ever see it:
"I am an American, and wish to inform Vice President Frattini, in
response to his address in Strasbourg just previous to Jan 20, that his
evaluation of the world's position on homosexuality and homosexual
unions - an overwhelming rejection - do not constitute homophobia. An
honest, scientific, moral and religiously principled understanding of
something, such as homosexuality, does not constitute a psychological
state. There are those who wish to abuse their power to force others to
accept their own private judgment: this is what Vice President Frattini
is attempting to do. This abuse of power to sustain such a baseless
position only puts him in evidence to the whole planet that he is a
bully activist. Perhaps the EU should be just as diligent, or even more
since the rights of more are at stake, in punishing 'Catholicphobia.'
This is another pathetic instance of activists, who lack all honesty and scholarship, abusing their position to impose a wicked agenda. Students of American Universities know what this type of abuse is all about.
Time to start an earthquake: there really is no such thing as a homosexual
I simply must share a wonderful article I read in Touchstone Magazine, an ecumenical endeavor whose articles get better and better, it seems, every month. R.V. Young reports in Touchstone Magazine, “The Gay Invention,” Dec. 2005, p. 37, that the origin of the word “homosexual” and its cognates (not just in English, mind you) is in 1869 with an obscure Hungarian doctor named “Benkert” (or “Kertbeny”). The world didn’t have any words for this sort of thing, except words for contempt and insult. He also discusses the meanings of the roots of the word. “Sex” is from Latin “sexus” or “secus,” meaning “divided” or “different” (cf. secare, to cut or divide). Yet “homo” is from the Greek ομόιος (homóios) meaning “same,” and the “hetero” from “heterosexual” is from the Greek έτερος (héteros) meaning “different.” (Both Greek words begin with a spiritus asper, indicating the word starts with an aspired vowel, typically translated into Latin by the letter “h.”) The conclusion of this study of etymological roots points to the fact that “homosexual” means, basically, “same-different,” which is a contradiction of words. Similarly, “heterosexual” means, basically, “different-different,” which is a pointless tautology. The whole article points to a glaring fact: the gay culture has imposed upon society as a whole a series of terms which are fabricated to fit its own purposes. We have seen this in relatively recent history with terms such as the Arian race, proletariat, Cosa Nostra, pornography “industry” (good grief, like it were some upright, honest and industrious thing!), pro-choice, and so forth. All of these are further examples of terms which were fabricated artificially not only to change people’s thinking about certain objective realities, but also to define the terms of the debate. There is such a thing in reality as a man or woman. There is such a thing in reality as a male or female. There is such a thing as blond people, workers, the mafia, sexual abuse and the murder of unborn babies. But the defenders of all these evil things create and define words in such a way that their use will always turn to the justification of their evil deeds. This is why it is so important to follow the principle Aristotle stresses so strongly in his Elenchus Sophisticus and elsewhere, that to begin any debate, it is absolutely necessary to define the terms. It seems the gay culture has wanted to unilaterally define terms and shove them down everyone else’s throat, under the emotional blackmail of “if you don’t bless what I’m doing, you fall under the supreme label of intolerant” (dramatic crack of thunder, please, and flash of lighting to boot). The good news for those who claim to be homosexual starts with this: you are neither homosexual or heterosexual, you are a man or woman, and acting as what you are not is contrary to natural law, a law which can be discovered by reflexive thought and study but which has also been made known by divine revelation, most exemplarily in the ten commandments. That’s right, you’re free to be what you are. Being a slave to something your not will only bring you grief, neuroses, and terrible pains of conscience.
I encourage those many who suffer from attractions to members of the
same sex to continue to strive to live chastely, to approach the
Catholic sacrament of reconciliation, to find the door out of your
problem – many like you have found it, it exists! – to stay close to
Mary the Virgin Mother of God and to St. Joseph whenever temptations
come close. But above all, I encourage you to want to be free;
that step is the greatest, if hardest, decision you will make in the
pursuit to follow the Gospel of purity, the Gospel of Love. |
