Baptist Minister and Noble Murderer
The Reverend Doctor Donna Schafer is a rather unusual Christian, one who certainly betrays both the name and the claim. She justifies abortion, she thinks sex should be recreational, she claims that both contraception and abortion are positive moral forces, and has bought into the most stereotypical of the superficial arguments of those who say that all sin is good. (Click here to read her letter in full.) All this, and she is a Pastorette of Judson Memorial Church, which I think is Baptist (Click here see her bio on her web site).
Analysis of the Facts
Few apostles of hell manage to put their selfishness, pro-abortion activism, dishonesty, love for violence, moral abandonment and hypocrisy in such clear terms as she, for which we must all give her some credit. Selfishness, because not only did she prefer to murder her baby in her womb so that her universe could still rotate around herself, but she had exceptional clarity on the matter when she did it, stating in cold blood, “I know I murdered the life within me,” because it was “better than the alternatives.” She simply “was not interested in a fourth child.” Pro abortion activism, because of how ardently she advocates abortion, hides her false “right” to abortion behind her job heading a Protestant church, and publishes this article to advocate that “abortion that is legal, safe and rare is the best policy conceivable for men and women and for mature, moral sexuality.” Dishonesty, because she is a Christian, yet claims to “need” birth Control. Because “Prolife people like punish people,” when in fact they like to save people, babies and mothers… and fathers, too. Dishonest, because she equates murder and freedom. Dishonest, because she holds that “the quarrel about when life begins is disrespectful to the fetus,” but then defends abortion… ah yes, abortion is highly respectful to a fetus, isn’t it? Dishonest because she exclaims “Abstinence! Such a recommendation is immoral to its core.” Moral abandonment, because she says, “Things happen sexually between people that are not always controllable.” The fact is, those who are slaves of their passions and lust choose not to control themselves when they loose their grip in matters of chastity. Moral abandonment, because she claims that both abortion and contraception are “positive moral forces.” Hypocrisy, because in light of all this, she calls herself a “I am a mother… an ordained Christian minister.” Of course, she is not ordained, because she is neither Catholic nor male. Christian she is not, because her position on abortion and contraception (and that just for starters) exclude her from being a follower of Jesus Christ. And she is nothing but a minister of the culture of death, particularly regarding the points of chastity and of life in the womb. And as for the noble title “mother,” how can that be reconciled with what she said of one of her children, “I could have loved that life but chose not to.” What a mom! She is a very violent woman, and loves violence. Like Satan, the father of lies (John 8:44), she paints murder as some sort of good. Look at what she says: first, “I happen to believe that abortion is a form of murder.” Then, “I did what was right for me.” Then, it is “better than the alternatives,” which are “always stupid” (deep, sister, very deep).
No Alternative but to Kill
The alternatives, by the way? She never mentions them. The alternative would have been only one, not many: to bear and raise another child unto the Lord, to overcome the temptation to solve her crosses by killing the most innocent and defenseless, to provide another sibling for her children, and to foster a child who would have done … what? … in the world. The alternative she did not name is this: love, and love made of suffering. How often I have heard over the last two years the new platform of the pro-abortion apostles, “Look, we know it’s life, and we know it’s murder… it’s too bad that we are in this position where we must commit abortions. But must we must. So if it is necessary, why make it illegal?” Miz Pastorette asserts basically the same: it’s too bad I had to kill my baby, but my baby got in the way of my selfishness, so kill I must. From wicked hearts like hers shall the next great war, indeed, the next great persecution arise. It’s too bad I have to kill my neighbor. It’s too bad I have to kill pro-lifers. It’s too bad I have to kill members of x religion. It’s too bad I have to kill Christians or Jews or Muslims. It’s too bad I have to kill the sick and lame. It’s too bad we have to kill the elderly. It’s too bad I have to kill those who don’t think like the rich and the powerful. It’s too bad, but kill I must. It’s too bad Cain had to kill Abel. It is too bad Lamech would have to kill a man for wounding him. Ah, too bad, so let’s all say that murder is good, and congratulate ourselves. (cf.) |
