Mass at Guadalupe

Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe, which ended with the consecration to Mary said, in the sanctuary, kneeling on the first steps, by all the young pilgrims of Trailblazers. Thanks be go God and Mary!
A photo gallery of more great pictures of this pilgrimage can be found on the Trailblazers web site.

Porcupine Mountain Cliffs

The beauty of Michigan: Porcupine Mountain State Park, my view during lunch one day.

Blossom

Some mid-spring flowers in bloom under a magnificent Michigan sky

Spring 2006

With Easter even the earth erupts with new life. "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?" Mt 6:28-30.

The Altar of Repose, St. Joseph Parish Detroit

The Altar of Repose at St. Joseph Parish, Detroit. The statue of Jesus sitting on Pilate's throne of judgment: he is the suffering Messiah.

The New and Old Basilicas

The old basilica, to the right in this picture, is sinking. Mexico is built on a lake, so the Cathedral's foundations are weak. The less beautiful New Cathedral to the left was built for this reason. I took this picture in March 2006, preparing for the pilgrimage of Trailblazers. Sorry the colors are dark...

The basilica, like Mary: Light shining in the midst of a world full of the gloom of despair and sin.

Mary's Basilica was an analogy of our times: Mary beams bright with the light of God amid a word filled with gloom, sin and despair. Oh, turn to Mary!
I took this just prior to the Mass wherein Lucia was buried in the Cathedral, Feb. 19, 2006

The Place of the Apparition of the Angel of Fatima

I took this picture on the very spot where the Angel taught them the famous prayers of Fatima, which I have reproduced in today's editorial.

SOPHIA ROSE BORSE, daughter of my sister Sheila and her husband Gregory Borse.

Meet Sophia Rose, my sister Sheila's newest Daughter. She and her husband Greg Borse have four other beautiful kids. May God bless Sophia and make of here a great saint!

SWEETEST HEART OF MARY PARISH

This is Sweetest Heart of Mary, one of my three new parishes where I'm Associate Pastor under Fr. Mark Borkowski. It is at the rectory of this church where I reside. Feel welcome to visit!

POPE BENEDICT XVI AT WORLD YOUTH DAY WITH TRAILBLAZERS

POPE BENEDICT XVI
This photo was taken by Ben Pohl at World Youth Day 2005. He was a Trailblazers pilgrim, a seminarian, and was able to actually touch the Pope's hand that day!
